How to Duplicate a Page or Post in WordPress

Copy and Paste

Sometimes it’s more convenient to duplicate an existing page or post instead of starting from scratch. Here is how to do it!

The easiest way to duplicate a page or post in WordPress is probably by using a plugin.

Plugins

When it comes to plugins, there are a lot to choose from. Here is a list of the plugins we recommend.

1. Yoast Duplicate Post

  1. Install and activate the plugin.
  2. Go to Posts > All when cloning posts or Pages > All when cloning pages in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Hover over the post or page you want to copy, and click “Clone” to duplicate it. The post or page is now replicated and has the status Draft, ready to be published.
  4. If you need to clone many posts or pages at once, you can do it using Bulk actions.

2. Duplicate Page and Post

Another popular plugin is Duplicate Page and Post. Working with it is as easy as with the previous one. To get started, download and install the plugin.

To duplicate follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the admin panel of the WordPress site. Then proceed to Post > All Posts or Pages > All Pages.
  2. Select what you want to duplicate and click the “Click here to Clone” button under the selected post or page.
